This advanced manufacturing process ensures that each box is built as one seamless, integrated module. Utilizing .125′′ flat-sheet, marine-grade aluminum, we construct the floor, roof, sides, and doors from brake-formed parts with fully welded seams. Without a separate extruded frame, SolidBody™ Construction reduces weight and significantly enhances strength, offering unparalleled advantages. In the event of an accident, this integrated module absorbs impact, minimizes transferred damage, and ensures maximum safety.
UNMATCHED SAFETY THROUGH RIGOROUS TESTING
At Braun, we don’t just claim that our SolidBody™ Construction makes our ambulances safe. We back it up with data. In 2016, we became the first in the industry to conduct a side impact and rollover crash test on the same unit. This included being hit by a Ford F-150 truck at 40 mph, followed by dynamic rollover testing. Our real-world simulations confirm our modules’ rugged durability, ensuring that occupant safety is not just a promise but a proven fact.

Braun’s exclusive arched roof design allows for more internal headroom, strengthens the module roof, and eliminates water and snow pooling. Roof braces overlap with full-length side rails, creating exceptional strength and safety. During manufacturing, sprayed-on foam insulation in the ceiling, walls, doors, and the entire underside of the body provides acoustic and thermal insulation, eliminating road and environmental noise.
