Pay Status: Non-exempt, Pay Grade V 

SUMMARY: Perform assembly and installation of manufactured and purchased material, hardware and components to complete the interior and the exterior of the vehicle.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Receive, review and interpret instructions, prints, and work orders for each unit.
2. Operate small machinery, and power, hand and air tools to cut, shape, install and finish various assemblies within the vehicle.
3. Build, assemble and/or installation of running boards and installation of rub rails.
4. Build, assemble and/or installation of fenderettes.
5. Build, assemble and/or installation of rear step and step ends.
6. Build, assemble and/or installation of curb and rear people doors (both traditional and sliding), including latches, door rods, door panels, windows, stainless steel, gasket, and striker pins.
7. Build, assemble and/or installation of shelf, shelf track and shelf ends.
8. Build, assemble and/or installation of aspirator pump.
9. Build, assemble and/or installation of compartment closeouts.
10. Build, assemble and/or installation of outside storage doors, latches, door rods, door skins, vents, gasket, and striker pins.
11. Build, assemble and/or installation of the squad bench components and accessories.
12. Build, assemble and/or installation of all interior trim.
13. Build, assemble and/or installation of interior lighting.
14. Build, assemble and/or installation of O2 window and system
15. Build, assemble and/or installation of pads and radius support materials.
16. Build, assemble and/or installation of countertops.
17. Build, assemble and/or installation of suction system and vent fan.
18. Build, assemble and/or installation of general interior hardware: IV brackets, curb step diamond plate, threshold, stainless steel.
19. Clean and detail interior of vehicle
20. Caulk interior trim and stainless steel
21. Clean and detail exterior OSS compartments and fill and touch up all holes
22. Inventory and fill departmental Kan Ban locations
23. Miscellaneous company projects

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Verification and inspection of interior and exterior assemblies and installations.
2. Open communication with all Assembly, Electrical and Quality Assurance personnel
3. Keep assigned area clean and orderly.
4. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Experience with small machinery, power, air and hand tools, and tape measure.
3. Experience with assembly and/or construction work desirable.
4. Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test, as well as at random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug and alcohol tests thereafter.
5. Physical requirements: regularly required to stand, crouch, and kneel; frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms and to use hands and fingers to feel objects, tools and components; occasionally required to stoop or crawl and the ability to talk and hear.
