Ohio ambulance manufacturer, Braun Industries, will be participating as an exhibitor at EMS Today 2018. Also known as The JEMS Conference & Exposition, the event will take place February 21-23, 2018 at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, NC. Braun Industries will be in Booth #1315 with three new ambulances on display.
Produced by JEMS, the leader in EMS education, EMS Today is one of the premier conference and exhibition events in the EMS Industry. The conference rotates to a different city each year and draws over 4,500 EMS professionals from around the world. With over 200 conference sessions and workshops, it includes hands-on experiences, CEH (continuing education hours) opportunities, and networking events. In addition, it hosts an exhibition with over 250 companies, displaying products and services specific to EMS professionals. Braun Industries attends each year as an exhibitor.
“EMS Today kicks off our show season for the year,” says Chad Brown, Braun Industries’ VP of Sales & Marketing. “We are particularly excited about this show because it will be our first under the new company after merging with Demers Ambulances. President of Braun, Kim Braun, will be joining us, as well as President of Demers and CEO of Demers & Braun, Alain Brunelle. We’ll have some beautiful units on display with great features like the new MasterTech FleetConnect. We’ll also be educating visitors on what it means to be fully compliant with Change Notice 10. It will be a great opportunity for customers old and new to ask questions about ambulance safety, our products, and the benefits the merger will have for them.”
Braun Industries will have several representatives in attendance at the show. As mentioned above, President – Kim Braun will be there, along with Chad Brown – VP of Sales & Marketing. Braun’s Regional Sales Managers, Jason Adair, Jarret Hammons, and Jason Gerhardt, will also be in the booth. Members from Braun’s dealer network will include sales reps from Spartan Fire & Emergency Apparatus, Penn Care, Emergency Equipment Professionals, and First Priority Emergency Vehicles.
Inside Braun’s booth, visitors will find three new ambulances on display. The first unit is a Type III Chief XL Chevy G-4500 Gas from Broad Creek. As with all of Braun’s ambulances, this vehicle features Braun’s exclusive EZ Glide Door for enhanced on-scene safety and SolidBody Construction for a lighter, yet safer module. The EZ 02 Lift compartment offers a smaller footprint than traditional lifts and helps eliminate work safety hazards and back injuries associated with lighting heavy oxygen bottles. A Golight is mounted to the cab roof for on-scene illumination, and inside the module visitors will find a patient camera monitoring system and Norcold refrigerator.
The second ambulance on display will be a Type I Express Plus from Read Mountain Fire & Rescue in Roanoke County, Virginia. Built on a Ford F450 4×4, this unit features a LiquidSpring suspension for a smoother, safer ride. A Whelen TAL85 traffic advisor low profile light bar enhances visibility on the exterior of the unit. Inside, visitors will find a custom interior with a cabinet at the head of the squad bench, as well as glove holders at the rear doors.
The last unit on display will be a Type I Express Plus on a Ford F-450 4×4 chassis. This demo unit will feature the newest innovation from Braun, MasterTech FleetConnect. MasterTech FleetConnect is an ambulance specific connectivity platform designed to lengthen vehicle life, reduce unplanned downtime, and empower remote maintenance and troubleshooting of a vehicle in real-time. The demo also features Braun’s well-known innovations such as the EZ Glide Door, SolidBody Construction, and EZ 02 Lift. It features a LiquidSpring suspension as well.
