Here at Braun Industries, we have three EMTs on staff. Each of them is a valued member of the Braun family, serving our company and our communities with their first response skills. As part of EMS Week 2013, we asked them to share a brief quote on being an EMS professional. Here is what they had to say:

I have been a Firefighter/EMT for 10 years (Firefighter since 1997) and am currently working on two local departments.  I live close to both departments and can help out each one when needed.  I enjoy working in the EMS Service; it helps to make me a better person.  I get a lot of self-pride from doing it and people appreciate the help, even when they don’t say it you can see it in their eyes.  I just want to thank the communities for their support of our departments and for allowing me to serve them.

I have been a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT for 13 years.  I got into this field because I love to help people.  It is also a very exciting and rewarding job.  My station runs two Braun units.  We feel they are the best around; so when I got the opportunity to work for Braun, I jumped at the chance.  I have now worked for Braun for ten years now and plan on retiring from here.  I take a personal interest and responsibility in my work at Braun.  I do this because I understand the importance of quality out in the field.

I run with the Payne Fire Department and have been on them for over 11 years.  I joined the department – it is a family thing.  My dad is the Lieutenant, my uncle and cousins are also EMT’s with different departments.  I enjoy helping those who need the help the most – children and the elderly,  and helping out the community when needed.  Payne Fire Department also runs two Braun units.

A special thank you this week to Chad, Brian, and Josh – along with all EMS professionals! We truly appreciate your time and dedication in serving your communities by providing such an essential service.
