The Braun Industries team is growing. In fact, we’ve extended the Braun “family” to include 258 employees! Expanding our workforce has meant creating new positions to oversee them and/or our processes, and we are so pleased we’ve found some amazing individuals to help us do that. Our Executive Team is incredible; they’re all hard workers focused on ensuring Braun is THE premium ambulance manufacturer. Once such member is Dennis Gallo, our Vice President of Quality.
You may remember Dennis’s name from a few posts back when we covered the Braun Performance Excellence System. If not, that’s OK, now is your chance to get to know him better and the impact he’s making on us here at Braun Industries! Dennis’s main job responsibility is to develop systems designed to improve the quality of our vehicles and the efficiency of our business processes.
Dennis began working for Braun in March 2015. Prior to that, he had over thirty years of experience working for an automotive supplier. With three years in operations and two as an Engineering Manager, he gained most of his on-the-job knowledge from twenty-five years in quality. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. The Lean Six Sigma Methodology relies on collaborative team effort to improve performance by systematically removing “waste.” Waste in this application is time, inventory, motion, waiting, overproduction, over processing, defects, and skills, which the program abbreviates as TIMWOODS.
When asked “Why did you want to work at Braun,” Dennis recounts, “My initial conversation with Kim Braun was all it took to convince me that I wanted to be part of her team.” Since joining the Braun family, he’s enjoyed getting to know the rest of his co-workers. He says, “The people are incredibly committed to the business, our customers and our vehicles. Everyday provides the opportunities to make a difference.” He also appreciates the professional freedom he has, to do whatever is needed to make improvements in the business for our customers.
Outside of doing his best to make Braun a better company, Dennis enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, boating, and checking out classic cars. We are blessed to have him on our staff and we’re already reaping the benefits of his hard work on the Braun Performance Excellence System. We look forward to seeing the future impact he has on Braun Industries!
