Ambulance Manufacturer Braun Ambulances Wins EMS World Innovation Award
Each year, EMS World recognizes products that are innovative in the world of EMS. These products are nominated for Top Innovation Awards by EMS World for their work in making the delivery of emergency medical services safer and more efficient. This year, Braun Ambulances was selected as the winner of the EMS World Innovation Award for their work on MasterTech FleetConnect™.
MasterTech FleetConnect™ was created by Braun Ambulances in cooperation with IDEX Fire and Safety to make vehicles safer, make them last longer, and to save municipal departments time daily. Using Microsoft’s secure Cloud platform, MasterTech FleetConnect™ can monitor the chassis and engine network for preventative maintenance and allows for real-time monitoring and updates of the electrical system inside of the ambulance. For Braun Ambulance dealers, this product allows monitoring of the ambulances in each area, giving operators the chance to monitor for vehicle alerts. At the municipality level, MasterTech FleetConnect™ provides 24/7 remote support from the dealer network and Braun Ambulances.
During the 2018 EMS World Expo in Nashville, Tennessee, judges visited the booths of those who were selected as finalists. These judges spent time with finalists to learn more about the products first-hand and to demo them. Judges were able to experience the power of MasterTech FleetConnect™ through a simulation on one of the demo unit(s) we had on display.
“Braun Industries, Inc. continues to drive innovation in the emergency vehicle market with the introduction of MasterTech FleetConnect™,” says Chad Brown, VP of Sales and Marketing at Braun Ambulances. “By providing the first ever ambulance connected to the Cloud’s secure platform, we’re able to provide you with real-time chassis and ambulance module diagnostics via email or via text messages sent to your mobile phone. This unique system allows our customers, dealers, and Braun Ambulances to proactively manage their fleet.”

Braun Ambulances to Display Four Units at EMS World Expo 2018
The ambulance manufacturer will showcase what it means to be Built for Life with two new ambulances showcased next to a five-year-old unit and a remounted unit

Braun Ambulances will be attending EMS World Expo October 29-November 2, 2018. The ambulance manufacturer will display four ambulances, including two Nashville ambulances, a Jacksonville unit, and a remounted New Orleans unit. The ambulances on display will include a new Nashville Freightliner M2 Super Chief alongside a five-year-old Nashville Freightliner M2, showcasing how their ambulances are Built for Life. There will also be a Jacksonville Express Plus Ambulance on a 2019 Chevy C3500 chassis, and a remounted New Orleans unit.
EMS World Expo is hosted in partnership with the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) and provides a place for EMS professionals from all over the world to gather and learn together. This year’s event will take place at Music City Center in Nashville Tennessee from October 29 – November 2. Pre-conference workshops will take place October 29-30, including topics like patient safety, supervisory approaches, active shooter instances, and pediatric procedures. The conference will include tours of the Trauma Center, Nashville Fire Department ride-alongs, clinical challenges, and various workshops covering topics like pediatric care, patient satisfaction, and other hot topics in EMS today.
The exhibition portion of the show will take place October 31 – November 2 in Music City Center. Braun Ambulances will be on display in booth 301. The exhibit hall will be open on Wednesday, October 31 from 11:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Thursday, November 1 from 11:30 AM – 3:30 PM, and Friday, November 2 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
Braun Ambulances will have four ambulances on display at EMS World Expo, including a Jacksonville Express Plus Ambulance featuring Buell Airhorns, Whelen® M Series Lighting, Zico QR-MV Oxygen Holder, and a KNOX® MedVault® to reduce exposure to medication theft. In addition to the Jacksonville unit, Braun Ambulances will have two Nashville ambulances on display – one brand new, Freightliner M2 Super Chief, and one five-year-old Freightliner M2. Braun Ambulances are Built for Life, and these two units will show the comparison between a new unit that hasn’t been used in service to a unit that has served one of the busiest departments for years. The five-year-old Nashville ambulance features a Whelen® Freedom Light Bar, Hadley Airhorns, and a Voyager monitoring system for the patient compartment. The new Freightliner M2 Super Chief features a Whelen® Freedom IV Light Bar, a ROM Roll-Up Door on the cab for storage, seating from EVS Ltd., and a Stryker Power-LOAD® with cot.
In addition to these units, Braun Ambulances will have a remounted New Orleans unit on display. This unit was involved in a serious crash in 2016, but the box was able to be repaired and remounted. The unit was updated with new seating and other features, but the remount used the original box. When Braun Ambulances says Built for Life, they mean it.
“At Braun, we know the products that we make are Built for Life,” says Chad Brown, VP of Sales and Marketing. “The great thing about showcasing a new unit next to a five-year-old unit is that we can show the public that, too.” These ambulances, as well as the Jacksonville unit, will be on display in booth 301 of the exhibit hall.

Braun Ambulances’ MasterTech FleetConnect Recognized as EMS World Innovation Award Finalist

These products are considered innovative and are made to help improve the delivery of emergency medical services. This year, Braun Ambulances was recognized for their work on MasterTech FleetConnect by receiving a nomination for the 2018 EMS World Innovation Awards.

This is all made possible by using Microsoft’s secure cloud platform.
EMS World will judge finalists during EMS World Expo in Nashville October 29-November 2. These judges will gather information about the product and demo the product to get a first-hand experience with it. The top finalists will receive the award, as well as a feature in the December 2018 issue of EMS World and on EMS World’s website.
We are honored to be recognized for creating the first connectivity platform specifically for ambulances. Thank you to EMS World for this honor! If you’re attending EMS World Expo 2018, stop by our booth and see what MasterTech FleetConnect is all about!
Braun Demers enhancing Premier Ambulance Experience

Here at Braun, our mission is always to deliver on our promise of an “exceptional customer experience from a premium ambulance manufacturer.” As such, we’re always looking for ways to improve our processes for the better. Braun Demers has teamed up with Cincom, a configure-price-quote (CPQ) solution provider, to improve customer experiences and to help standardize our processes throughout sales channels and our dealer network.
Cincom CPQ will allow Braun and Demers accounting, IT, design, engineering, and sales teams to work together to provide quicker results for our ambulance customers, as well as providing more accurate quotes for those looking to purchase ambulances. Cincom CPQ will help us deliver better customer experiences by giving us the ability to send out notifications of events in the system, guided selling capabilities to help our customers choose the right ambulances to meet their needs, and mobile-friendly functionality so that our sales teams can easily access the program in the office, on-site, and on the road, ensuring that our customers get answers quickly.
“Our objective is to provide our dealers with a tool that will greatly simplify their quote process with both Braun and Demers, create a better buyer experience and improve quote and product quality,” explains Alain Brunelle, CEO of Braun Demers.
“Dealer reps will benefit from a user-friendly tool that allows them to point-and-click to choose and select already-designed product configurations and provide quicker turnaround on quotes with more consistent and accurate pricing,” says Brunelle.
Braun Ambulances and Demers have assembled a team of accounting, IT, sales, and other experts to work closely with Cincom to ensure that the switch to this CPQ program is smooth – this team will work to promote the adoption of new processes regarding the new Cincom CPQ. We hope to roll this feature out in Q2 of 2019.
Braun is a company that provides premium ambulances, so it’s important that we encourage premium experiences to our dealers and end-clients, too. Cincom CPQ will aid us in meeting that goal. For more information regarding this new program, please contact Chad Brown at chadb@braunambulances.com.

BRAUN INDUSTRIES WELCOMES BACK BULLDOG FIRE & EMERGENCY APPARATUS FOR NEW AMBULANCE SALES

Braun Ambulances is proud to welcome back Bulldog Fire Apparatus to the Braun family. Effective July 31, 2018, Bulldog Fire Apparatus rejoined Braun’s national dealer network as an Authorized Sales and Service Center. They will provide Braun ambulance sales and service to customers in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
“We are pleased to have Jeff Mazza and his team at Bulldog Fire Apparatus back with Braun,” says Chad Brown, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Braun Industries. “Knowledgeable of both the Braun and Demers ambulance brands, Bulldog’s return to our dealer network is a welcome one. They have been well-versed in both product lines for some time, which is a huge asset as we continue to integrate the two brands under one company. We are excited to have them back and are looking forward to working with them and their customers again in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.”
Bulldog Fire & Emergency Apparatus has a well-known history and dedication to the Fire/EMS Industry. The business was originally established in 1933 as a fire apparatus manufacturer. Over the years, the company evolved to represent products from other emergency vehicle manufacturers. As a boutique manufacturer, they continue to design and build the popular Brush Breaker and tanker units they’ve always been known for. In 2005, the company was sold to current owner, Jeffrey Mazza, who changed the name to Bulldog Fire & Emergency Apparatus and enhanced the product offerings.
Jeff Mazza has the following to say about rejoining the Braun dealer network: “We were excited to hear about the Braun/Demers merger earlier this year and anxious to understand how that might impact us and our customers. Service after the sale is a primary focus at Bulldog. We are looking forward to being able to provide that for both Braun and Demers ambulances in our region by coming back into the network as an aligned dealer. We want to continue to serve Fire/EMS departments in the New England region as a one-stop-shop and believe this only enhances our offerings to do so.”
Bulldog Fire & Emergency Apparatus first began representing Braun ambulances in March 2011. They served fire and EMS organizations with new ambulance sales and service in a four-state region. Their current partnership with Braun, renewed in July 2018, will have them focusing on Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
Many of the sales representatives at Bulldog Fire & Emergency Apparatus have worked in Braun ambulances themselves, serving as EMS professionals on city departments and private organizations. Committed to providing honest and open communication, they help customers design the perfect ambulance model to meet their needs. Backed by Braun’s lifetime structural warranty, reliable factory service center, and Bulldog’s experienced in-house service technicians, customers will be taken care of well after the sale of a new ambulance.
If you’d like more information about Bulldog Fire & Emergency Apparatus or their renewed partnership with Braun Ambulances, please call Chad Brown at 419-232-7054 or email ChadB@BraunAmbulances.com.

Braun Industries Expands New Ambulance Sales Territory for Autotronics, LLC

Braun Ambulances is proud to announce a territory expansion for Autotronics, LLC. Starting July 31, 2018, Autotronics began serving customers located in New Hampshire and Maine; they previously covered the state of Maine only. The expansion is a testament to the great work Autotronics is doing for Braun Industries in the New England region. Additionally, Autotronics has added Demers Ambulances to their product offerings. This is an important step forward in dealer alignment for both brands, who merged under one company in February 2018.
“Under their 4th generation of family leadership, Autotronics is a lot like Braun,” says Chad Brown, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Braun Industries. “They treat their partners and customers like family, and that’s been something we’ve cherished throughout our longstanding partnership with them. We look forward to working alongside them to serve customers in the state of New Hampshire. More importantly, with the addition of the Demers lineup to their offerings, they will help us better meet the needs in their region as two brands under one exceptional company. Autotronics will be the focal point dealer for Braun and Demers in both states, which is truly an exciting moment for us!”
Autotronics started off as Daigle Midway Service in 1958 under the leadership of Ferdinand Daigle, Sr. He specialized in automotive heating and cooling system repairs. In 1964 his son, Ferdinand Daigle, Jr., migrated the business towards the specialty automotive electrical systems, starters and alternators and rebranded as Automotive Electric. In 1985, Ferdinand Paul Daigle, III (Paul) joined the company and turned the automotive electrical systems focus towards the public safety sector. Today, the company is under its fourth generation of family leadership through Co-Owner and Sales Manager, Kyle Daigle.
“We are excited to get to work in New Hampshire,” says Kyle Daigle. “We have been a dealer partner with Braun Industries since 2000. With nearly twenty years of product knowledge and service after the sale, we believe in the quality and reliability of Braun ambulances and we work hard to get our customers the right vehicle(s) to meet their needs and budget. What makes this expansion particularly notable for us is that it will include the addition of a new product line through Demers Ambulances. With an aligned dealer territory, we can now offer customers in New Hampshire and Maine a complete ambulance lineup from either Braun or Demers. They can get a Type I, Type II, or Type III unit customized to their specifications. We are proud to represent both brands and eager to get the word out in our area.”
Autotronics, LLC operates two facilities, one in Frenchville, ME and another in Bangor, ME. They represent Braun Industries and Demers Ambulances for new ambulance sales and service. They also provide ambulance remounts, fire apparatus, ADA vehicles, police vehicles, and more to serve as a one-stop-shop for EMS providers throughout their region. They offer comprehensive service after the sale as a Braun Authorized Service Center and will be opening a new remount and service facility later this year.
If you’d like more information about Autrotonics, LLC or their territory expansion with Braun Ambulances, please call Chad Brown at 419-232-7054 or email ChadB@BraunAmbulances.com.
