Summary of Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Information Systems and a full member of the IT Shared Services team, the Programmer plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications within our manufacturing environment. This position involves working closely with IT Business Analyst, IT personnel, and end-users to meet the organization’s system needs. The primary focus is on enhancing efficiency, streamlining processes, and ensuring seamless integration with our business systems.
Summary of Activities
| Responsibilities | Activities |
| Software Development | o Develop and maintain computer programs, applications, and databases. o Create and distribute applications and software patches following management guidelines. o Migrate applications (both in-house and client-based) as needed to ensure smooth transitions. o Implement security protocols related to software. |
| ERP System Enhancements | o Enhance existing business systems to align with user-specific needs and industry standards. o Work closely with business analyst and end-users to understand system requirements. o Develop and maintain system-to-system integration. o Perform system tests and assist in user acceptance testing. |
| Troubleshooting and Support | o Respond promptly to support tickets from customers and internal departments. o Troubleshoot software issues and provide timely resolutions. o Draft instructional documents to guide employees in navigating company intranets. |
| Continuous Improvement | o Make recommendations for enhancing user value and system efficiency. o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and optimize software solutions. |
