VAN WERT, Ohio -- Braun Industries, Inc., manufacturer of high-quality, hand-crafted
ambulances, announces that its exclusive SolidBody ambulance design and construction
has exceeded the industry's KKK-A-1822F standard in an AMB-001 static load roof
test.
Braun's SolidBody ambulance is built as one integrated module with the floor,
roof, sides and doors all constructed from brake-formed parts with fully welded
seams. Using hydraulic equipment, Braun recently tested the SolidBody module
according to KKK-A-1822F standards, which require a roof load capacity of 27,000
lbs. Braun's ambulance exceeded the requirements by more than 300 percent, reaching
90,024 lbs.
"The Braun team is confident our SolidBody ambulances are the best in the
industry, as demonstrated by their amazing performance in these tests,"
said Phil Braun, president and CEO of Braun Industries, Inc. "Our professional,
quality design and construction easily withstood more than three times the federal
requirements -- in fact, we only stopped because we reached the maximum limit
of the hydraulic test equipment!"
With no separate extruded frame, SolidBody construction adds strength to the
unit - providing greater patient and attendant safety as well as payload - while
also reducing weight for improved fuel economy.
Testing was done at Braun headquarters and certified by a federally approved
independent engineer.
