Continuous Improvement is a philosophy at Braun that shows up in our designs, innovations, and manufacturing processes. Being committed to that philosophy also demands investment in new software, tooling, equipment, and training. And there is a lot of evidence at Braun these days that shows the results of those investments. Here are a few of the most recent additions to our design and manufacturing areas.

Graphic Design. Our Graphics Design Department utilizes state-of-the art equipment capable of providing OEM graphics or one of kind custom packages. With 25 years of experience in design, layout and application, each unit is completed to the highest standards and covered by the Braun vehicle warranty.

Acrylic Countertop Fabrication.
The elimination of bacteria and blood borne pathogens means a safer, cleaner patient care area for crews and patients alike and fabricating acrylic countertops allows for a customized product in every unit. Solid surface fabrication equipment is used to construct each countertop with exact size and shape for better fit and finish in every unit.

DelFleet Paint.
To maximize the paint color choice and variety, our painters now use PPG DelFleet Paint. With over 3000 colors available, matching existing paint schemes is more efficient and accurate. All paint formulas are digitally measured and mixed for precise color match.
Cincinnati Press.
Accurate, complete, reliable... the Cincinnati Press, a hydraulic brake press with .0004" ram repeatability creates parts for assemblies to exacting tolerances. This dynamic press utilizes a computerized program to complete assemblies efficiently and accurately.
SolidWorks.
Our design engineers use a 3D modeling software program called SolidWorks to design the components and assemblies that make up the ambulance module. This powerful program creates relationships between the dimensions and the parts drawings and then provides that data to our CNC punches, routers, and brake presses.

SigmaNest. In order to get the most efficiency from our equipment, minimize material waste, and improve parts processing time, SigmaNest analyzes the component data from SolidWorks and creates a nesting layout of all the parts for the most efficient machine sequence and material usage.

CNC Equipment. Two new pieces of equipment help take advantage of the sophistication of these programming tools. A new TRUMPF CNC Machining Center and a new TRUMPF CNC Brake Press work in synch to produce precision parts from download data from the Engineers. These machines are designed for medium to short run cycles with impressive flexibility, accuracy, and work piece quality.
